Andrea Blair McAlpine

GalowitzOlson Law, PLLC
Attorney

Andrea McAlpine assists clients with litigation and family law matters as well as appeals to the state Court of Appeals and the state Supreme Court. She has been entrusted with numerous appellate cases involving pivotal issues for her clients, from child custody to the fate of millions of dollars in assets. She is regarded by her clients and colleagues as innovative, insightful, and effective.

Andrea is a creative problem solver who takes a pragmatic approach to practicing law. “I understand that while we do this every day, our clients do not. Most of the time when a client comes to us, it is their first time dealing with the court system and a totally new experience. I always try to be considerate and respectful of an individual’s unique circumstance that brought them to our firm’s doorstep. And, while I thrive on working in the courtroom and arguing a well-researched legal issue, I recognize that many cases can (and should) be settled before becoming a court case.”

A St. Paul native, Andrea (known to family, friends, and colleagues as “Oni”) returned to her home state of Minnesota after completing her education and practicing law for a decade in Georgia and Colorado. She began her legal career as a trial attorney in 2008, working in a private firm and focusing on business litigation and appeals. In 2010, she began practicing exclusively in family law, applying her previous business and courtroom experience to the family law arena.
